Project Connect for Oct. 17

Project Connect is a partnership between the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce and local schools to help teachers get supplies or services.

WISHES GRANTED

Hilton Head Island Middle school math teacher Janis Traynor recently had her wish for copy paper, markers, Sharpie markers and a class set of rulers granted by Jennifer Bent, a student's mother. Here, Traynor and Principal Jim Shirley hold a bag with the supplies.

PRITCHARDVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

  • Fourth grade science and social studies teacher Beth Simpson recently had her wish for a class set of colored pencils, a class set of white Elmer's glue, pencils and erasers granted by Walmart.

  • BLUFFTON MIDDLE SCHOOL

  • School nurse Meg Hendy recently had her wish for laundry soap, hair ties, girls' and boys' underwear granted by Walmart.

  • HILTON HEAD ISLAND MIDDLE SCHOOL

  • Eighth grade science teacher Kim Gartner recently had her wish for a K'NEX Roller Coaster Physics set granted by Walmart.

  • RED CEDAR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

  • Fifth-grade teacher Audrey Olmstead recently had her wish for board games granted by Walmart.
