Longtime Hilton Head resident leads new exhibit at museum

The Coastal Discovery Museum's "Exposition d' Arte" exhibit features four local painters and will be on display at the museum's gallery through Nov. 23. There will be a special opening event for public viewing from 5 to 7 pm. Thursday.

Mary Ann Hart organized and orchestrated the exhibit, which follows an "Art et Objets" theme. Hart is a longtime Hilton Head Island resident, artist and collector who prefers to hang or prop her art on shutters, doors and benches. This exhibit will be the first public showing of Hart's complete body of work. The pieces represent all mediums and subjects, as well as varied surfaces. Other features artists includ e Chris Clayton, Judy McElynn and Anita Stephens.
