Joe Maffo, owner of Critter Management, caught this diamondback rattlesnake Tuesday on Hilton Head Island. Maffo said the snake was 5 feet, 5 inches long and weighed 25 pounds. "It was huge," he said. He caught it near the Barony Beach Club in Port Royal Plantation after a guest saw it slide across a sidewalk and into the hedges. Maffo said that over the years he has caught 10 rattlesnakes on the island, but this was the largest.
