Minjeong Kim and David Vitek of Ithaca, N.Y., were married June 4, 2011, at Cornell University, Annabel Taylor Chapel, Ithaca.

The bride is the daughter of Jihong and Yimhwa Kim of Seoul, Korea. The groom is the son of Dr. Susan Vitek and Dr. and Mrs. Randall Vitek of Hilton Head Island. The Rev. Joseph Tagliaferre was the celebrant.

Minjeong Kim, a beautiful June bride, walked down the aisle with her parents with lovely smiles. She received a Ph.D in English from Binghamton University in May 2011.

David Vitek received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in computer science from Cornell University. A successful computer scientist, currently working at Grammatech, Inc., married his sweetheart at his alma mater.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Jihong and Yimhwa Kim.

Maid of honor was Ms. Boram Jeong, Pittsburgh, Pa., the bride’s college friend. Bridesmaids were Kathryn Fauerby of North Augusta, S.C., the groom’s cousin and Jihye Ahn, Pelham, N.Y., the bride’s college friend.

Best man was Jeffrey Vitek of Athens, Ga., the groom’s brother. Groomsmen were Johann Kim of Seoul, Korea, the bride’s brother and Aditya Rao of New York, N.Y., the groom’s college roommate.

Flower girl was Rachel McNulty, the groom’s niece. Ring bearer was Alina Loginov, a friend’s daughter.

Following a honeymoon to the Mediterranean, the couple will reside in Ithaca.
