Sandra and Charles Jaffe of Hilton Head Island announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Jaffe of Philadelphia, Pa., to John Vick of Philadelphia, the son of Dr. James and Julie Vick of Haddonfield, N.J.

The wedding is planned in August 2012.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Hilton Head High School. She received her Bachelor’s of Fine Art from Temple University Tyler School of Art in 2006. She works as a freelance photographer.

The groom-elect is a 2001 graduate of Haddonfield High School. He graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2005 and a Master’s degree in Art History from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007. He is currently working in the Modern and Contemporary Department of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where the couple met.
