Some of the world's best skaters will be shredding in Bluffton.

The Birdhouse "MIA to NYC" tour featuring skateboarding legends Tony Hawk, Kevin Staab and Willy Santos sets up from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the Buckwalter Skatepark.

The tour is on a nine-city East Coast swing between Miami and New York. Hawk and his team of nine skaters will be giving street skating demos during the afternoon.

Birdhouse Skateboards licenses and distributes skateboards and skating equipment worldwide. Hawk purchased the company in 2009.
