Mark and Lorilee Maurer of Hilton Head Island announce the engagement of their daughter, Kaycie Quilhot Maurer, to Alexander Michael Foster, of Santa Barbara, Calif., the son of Henry and Ann Foster of Santa Barbara.

The wedding is at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 12 in the LDS Temple, Columbia. A reception is at 7 p.m. Aug. 13 at The Spanish Wells Club, Hilton Head. The couple will greet guests at an open house in Santa Barbara in October.

The bride-elect is employed by New Haven Residential Treatment and Boarding School.

The groom-elect is completing a degree in Fine Arts at the University of Utah. The couple plans to reside in Salt Lake City, Utah.
