Question: Who did Henry Chambers succeed as mayor of Beaufort in 1970?

Answer: Henry Chambers succeeded John Griffin as mayor in 1970. Griffin was mayor pro tem before Mayor Monroe W. Key resigned his post because the company he worked for transferred him to Greenville. Chambers won a special election shortly thereafter.
