George and Sherry Westerfield announce the marriage of their daughter Lindsay Underwood Westerfield to Silas Hooker Odell, son of Kendall and Karen Odell of Strafford, Vermont.
The ceremony and reception took place June 24, 2011 under the live oaks at Honey Horn Plantation. Todd Ballantine, friend of the family, officiated.
Kailey Brady Newman of Los Angeles served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Ann Ballantine of Seattle, Washington and Meredith Elizabeth Darlington of Raleigh.
Leon Allen Odell, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Chance Van Noppen of Raleigh and Daniel Cormier of Greensboro, North Carolina.
Original music composed by the grooms father was performed by Ken Odell, Rick Walker, and Jason Addams.
The bride is a graduate of Hilton Head High School and Elon University where she earned a degree in Spanish and international studies. She taught English as a Second Language in Burlington, North Carolina, but is returning to school in August to begin the nursing program at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
The groom graduated from Thetford Academy and Elon University where he earned a degree in psychology. He is employed by the Windows Plus Company in Charleston.
The couple resides in Awendaw, South Carolina. A December honeymoon to Cuernavaca, Mexico is planned.
