Gail Shoultz and Dan Shoultz of Columbia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn Shoultz, to Joseph Short of Greenville, the son of Bridget and Joseph Short of Hilton Head Island.

The wedding is planned Jan. 1, 2012.

The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Irmo High School and a 2010 graduate of Clemson University with a B.A. in Psychology. She is pursuing her Master’s at Clemson University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

The groom-elect is a 2005 graduate of Hilton Head Christian Academy and a 2009 graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. in Health Science. He is the Program Coordinator for Goat (Great Outdoor Adventure Trips), a non-profit ministry.
