Lillian Cooper Puntereri and Nathanial Thomas Collier were married on May 14, 2011, at four oclock in the afternoon at St. Lukes Episcopal Church, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, with the Reverend Greg Kronz officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marc Anthony Puntereri of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and granddaughter of Mrs. Anthony Joseph Puntereri, the late Dr. Puntereri, and the late Dr. and Mrs. Franklin David Hoffman, of Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania.
The groom is the son of Ms. Millicent Olin Miller of Alexandria, Virginia, and Mr. Thomas Cleveland Collier of Washington, D.C. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cleveland Collier of Walls, Mississippi, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Dille Olin of Salem, Oregon.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, Mrs. Collier was the seventh bride over four generations to wear the familys heirloom Brussels lace veil. Frances Hadley Puntereri, the brides sister of Atlanta, Georgia, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included the brides sister-in-law, Maria Rose Puntereri, of London, England; Elizabeth Connor Golden of Darien, Connecticut; Katherine Brandon Harvey of Trieste, Italy; Nora Kathryn Lee of San Francisco, California; Meredith Emmons Pyne of Boston, Massachusetts; Katherine Turner Temple of San Francisco, California; Caitlin Jean Ware of Des Moines, Iowa; and Adele Elizabeth Zieman of Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Thomas Cleveland Collier, Jr., the grooms father, and Jesse Olin Collier, the grooms brother, served as best men. The groomsmen included the brides brother, Bailey McMahan Puntereri, of London, England; Thomas Jay Leonard of Boston, Massachusetts; Jonathan Kingsley McAdam of Washington, D.C.; and Virginius Randolph Shakelford IV of Bridgeport, Connecticut; James Cody Tafel of Richmond, Virginia. The ring bearer was Thomas Hayden Collier, nephew of the groom. Ushers were David Leslie Bowlin of Atlanta, Georgia; William Brian Hunter -of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Parker James Lavin of Washington, D.C.; and Elliot Hugh Walker of Brooklyn New York. Readers were Kathleen Elizabeth Bisceglia of New York, New York, and Cain ORear IV of Nashville, Tennessee.
Mrs. Collier, a graduate of Hilton Head Preparatory School, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History at the University of Virginia. She is currently an Account Assistant in the Creative Services Department of the Ernest and Julio Gallo Winery in Modesto, California.
Mr. Collier is a graduate of Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Spanish from the University of Virginia, and a Master of Business Administration from the Darden School at the University. He also is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, New York. He is currently an Associate Marketing Manager for Ernest and Julio Gallo Winery in Modesto, California.
Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held in Sea Pines Plantation on the Lawn of the Eighteenth at Harbour Town. After a wedding trip to the Turks and Caicos Islands, the couple is residing in Modesto, California.
