Red Cross in need of type O negative blood

    The American Red Cross said its supply of type O negative blood at has dropped to critically low levels. The Red Cross urges those eligible donors with O negative blood type to make and keep appointments in the upcoming days to help restore the blood supply. The Red Cross Southern Blood Services Region provides lifesaving blood to more than 120 hospitals and must have 1,200 people give blood and platelets each weekday to meet hospital demand.
