'Pig' out for a good cause

July 5, 2011

The "Ted's Piggy Bank -- Giving for a Guy We Love" fundraiser will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. July 10 at the Calhoun Street Promenade in old town Bluffton. A volunteer committee of Bluffton friends will host the event and has set up "Ted's Piggy Bank" fund at Palmetto State Bank to accept donations.

Ted Huffman, owner of Bluffton BBQ, and his wife, Donna, have lived in the area since 1987. Ted had emergency intestinal surgery in May, and the Huffman family has significant medical costs.

The free fundraiser will feature live entertainment, food and more than 60 silent auction items.
