Used bookstore open at Beaufort library

The Friends of the Beaufort County Library has established a gently used book store in the former Beaufort District Collection Room at the Beaufort library, 311 Scott St. The store is open from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Fridays. Used books, donated by local residents and visitors, start at 50 cents.

The Friends contributed more than $39,000 last year for programs, materials and equipment at the Beaufort, St. Helena and Lobeco branches.
