Humane group to hold gift card fundraiser

The Hilton Head Humane Association is collecting gift cards from Petco, Petsmart and Walmart for a gift card fundraiser to be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 9 at the humane association's shelter on Hilton Head Island.

The gift cards will be given to animal shelters in Mississippi and Missouri affected by the recent tornadoes.

There will be live entertainment, refreshments and prize giveaways at the fundraiser.
