Gazette College honors for June 6

  • Stephanie Weltz of Beaufort graduated from Capella University with a masters of science in education, with a specialization in curriculim and instruction. She completed her studies with a 4.0 grade point average. In the course of her studies, she was inducted into the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education and the Golden Key International Honour Society. She was also awarded the Teacher of Honor designation from Kappa Delta Pi, and is only the second educator to have ever received this honor in South Carolina.

    Weltz teaches international baccalaureate Spanish at Battery Creek High School and coaches varsity girls volleyball and basketball.

  • Ashley Roberts of Beaufort was named to North Greenville University's dean's list for the spring 2011 semester.

    Students must maintain a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 hours.
