Jim and Carol Nottoli will celebrate their 50th anniversary on May 5, 2011.

They were married on the campus of The University of Notre Dame in 1961.

After several years in the Air Force and numerous combat missions over Vietnam, the Nottolis settled in Columbia with their 5 children, Julie, Scott, Jill, Mary and Jennifer.

Jim continued his Air Force connection and love of flying as a member of the Georgia Air National Guard and eventually retired with the rank of Colonel. While in Columbia, they were active members of St Joseph Catholic Church and of the parish school their children attended as well as Cardinal Newman School.

They are successful entrepreneurs in the wholesale framing and art business, which was inspired by Carol’s love of art.

Jim and Carol, also known as “Jimmy Pop” and “Nana” to their 13 grandchildren, currently make Beaufort, their home and enjoy every aspect of their seaside life.

They are active members of St. Peter Catholic Church, Lady’s Island. The lives of their children, grandchildren, daughter-in-law and sons-in-law are enriched daily by their example of generosity and demonstration of Christ’s love.
