Catherine Highsmith Deutsch

Catherine McNair Highsmith and Stephen Lloyd Fales Deutsch of Charlotte were married at 5 p.m. April 30, 2011 at the River House at Oldfield Plantation.

Rebecca Albright and Father James Koerber officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Farris Highsmith of Bluffton. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hunting Folger Deutsch of Santa Rosa Beach, FL.

Matron of honor was Gray Benko of Summerville, sister of the bride. Maid of honor was Kara Davis of Charleston. Bridesmaids were Caroline Coakley of Charleston, Caroline Kelley of Basalt, CO., cousins of the bride, Candice Finley of South Point, OH., Emilie Hoza of Charlotte, N.C., Ginsie Huntley of Baltimore, MD., and Kelly Smith of Bluffton.

Best man was Patrick Deutsch of Santa Rosa Beach, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Michael Benko of Summerville, brother-in-law of the bride, Chris Didier and Clayton Wells of Atlanta, William Ellis of Tallahassee, FL., Lawson Lamar of Orlando, FL., Kyle Lanigan of New York, N.Y. and Mark Rudacille of Tampa.

Flowers girls were Farris Benko, niece of the bride and Coker Spangler, cousin of the bride.

Caleb Spangler, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.

The bride graduated from Hilton Head High School and Clemson University. She is employed as a Recruiter with Ally Financial.

The groom graduated from Winter Park High School and received a BS in Finance and MA in International Business from the University of Florida. He is employed as a Compliance Analyst at Ally Financial.

After a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple will reside in Charlotte.
