Inclement weather across the state caused the postponement of several area sporting events Thursday, many of which were high school postseason matchups.
Hilton Head Prep's SCISAA Class 3-A semifinal tennis match against Pinewood Prep was postponed Thursday and will be played at 4 p.m. today at Windmill Harbour. The Dolphins are two matches away from clinching back-to-back state championships.
Bluffton High School's home softball playoff game against Crestwood was rained out and will be made up at 6 p.m. today. The Bobcats are the top seed in the Class 3-A playoffs.
Hilton Head High and Bluffton postponed their Class 3-A first-round baseball playoff games Thursday. The Seahawks will travel to Hartsville at 6:30 p.m. tonigiht, and the Bobcats will travel to Darlington at 6:30 p.m. tonight.
Whale Branch High School's Class 1-A playoff baseball game with Military Magnet will be played at 6 p.m. tonight. That game will be played at North Charleston High School.
Hardeeville's first-round softball playoff game at Military Magnet was also postponed. The two teams will meet at 5 p.m. today.
