LEGO makes donation to Whale Branch High

March 16, 2011

LEGO Education will donate robotics materials and other items for a high-tech center to enhance science, math and technology education at Whale Branch Early College High School in Seabrook.

The donation is worth $17,000, the Beaufort County School District announced in a news release Wednesday.

Beaufort County's newest high school will house the first RM "Re-imagining Education and Learning" classroom in the United States, thanks to a $102,000 donation from the company, district officials announced earlier this month.

A ribbon-cutting for the center will be at 9:30 a.m. April 8 at the high school, according to the release.
