Whale Branch 51, Bamberg-Ehrhardt 41: Leroy Perry finished up his freshman season with a flourish, scoring 21 points, grabbing 14 rebounds and picking up six steals as the Warriors ended their first season on a winning note.

Stedmon James added 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals for Whale Branch, which finishes 6-14 overall and 5-9 in Region 5-A. Josh Fields had a team-high seven assists.


Bamberg-Ehrhardt 50, Whale Branch 45: Kenyada Moultrie had nine points and Deborah Fields added eight points and 15 rebounds as the Warriors season ended with a loss.

"The girls played a real good game," Whale Branch coach Wilbert Bryant said. "I was pleased with the effort. It was kind of a bright spot to end the season, playing hard to end."

Ruth Thompson also had eight points for the Warriors, who finish their first season with a 4-10 record in Region 5-A. S'nitra Mack had six points, Brittney Pryor scored five, Tasheka Wright had four, Cynthia Rivers three and Shaquanna Green two.

Kritofia Smart had 26 points and Khristen Murdock added 10 for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, which finishes the regular season tied for fourth place in Region 5-A with Hardeeville.
