Calling all Casanovas: Divulge romance secrets

February 1, 2011

Love is a many splendored-thing, so the song goes. But does that hold true year after year with your sweetie pie? Like a beautiful rose, love must be nurtured so it can blossom and grow.

With Valentine's Day approaching, we want to know how you keep the romance alive in your relationship. Tell us about your most romantic moment. Did you plan an unforgettable date for your honey? Or maybe you were on the receiving end of a seriously romantic gesture. What does romance mean to you? We'll run our favorite stories in the paper, and run all submissions online.

Comments must be fewer than 100 words. If you have photos of you and your amor during a special moment, send those, too. And please -- keep everything PG.

E-mail your romantic tales and photos by Feb. 9 to features@ islandpacket.com or features@beaufortgazette.com, or send them to Features Department, The Island Packet, P.O. Box 5727, Hilton Head Island, SC 29938. Be sure to include your name, where you're from and contact information. Please identify people in photos and the approximate year each photo was taken.

The Island Packet is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
