Photographer portfolio: Jonathan Dyer's best of 2010

Beaufort resident William Davidson, 6, had a look of determination as he competed in the shrimp peeling contest during the 16th annual Beaufort Shrimp Festival in October at the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park in Beaufort. Davidson won second place in the competition, which was one of many events that took place during the two-day festival.

Jonathan Dyer was born in Miami and graduated from Daytona Beach Community College with an associate degree in photographic technology. He also has an associate degree from Florida State University. He has won multiple awards from the S.C. Press Association, along with several student awards. Dyer grew up in central Florida and moved to South Carolina in 2000. He is married to Erin Dyer.
