Packet Thank You Letters for Jan. 3

January 3, 2011

For Christmas lights

We would like to thank the firefighters at Station No. 3 off William Hilton Parkway for their hard work and effort on their Christmas lights. We stumbled on them by accident one night; we had not read anywhere in the paper about all their effort.

We have been there three times just to enjoy the lights, and each time we were the only car there. Everyone should take the time to drive by there and enjoy and leave a little bag of food for the needy in their box at the end. Maybe the firefighters would even joy a little plate of goodies themselves? A Merry Christmas to all.

For Santa visit

We would like to give a big thank you to Wes Bowles, a professional Santa Claus, who took time out of his Christmas Day to bring cheer to seven children ranging from 2 months to 12 years old.

The children are part of two homeless families working with Family Promise in Bluffton. The families were staying at our church, Hilton Head Presbyterian, which is where Santa greeted the children and distributed presents. Several children said it was the best Christmas they have ever had.

Thank you, Santa Wes.
