Lecture series features Hallelujah Singers

Music rounds out Historic Beaufort Foundation's 2010 Lecture Series with "Dinner and a Song" from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday with Marlena Smalls at the Verdier House, 801 Bay St., Beaufort. Smalls and The Hallelujah Singers have traveled extensively as Gullah ambassadors, teaching and entertaining. A wine and hors d'oeuvres reception is from 5:30 to 6 p.m. The program is 6 to 7 p.m., followed by audience questions. A three-course dinner at Saltus River Grill is $19 a person for attendees at the concert. Call Saltus for dining reservations. Concert admission is $15 for members and $25 for member couples; $20 for non-members and $30 for non-member couples. Reservations are required.
