Stan and Margie Smith of Hilton Head Island, announce the engagement of their daughter, Logan Widmer Smith of Charleston, to Peter Anderson Pollak Jr. of Savannah, the son of Peter and Suzanne Pollak of Beaufort.

Miss Smith is a graduate of Hilton Head Christian Academy and has a degree in Spanish from The University of Virginia. She works in marketing for lululemon athletica in Charleston.

Mr. Pollak is a graduate of St. Paul's School in Concord, N.H., and has a degree in History from University of Georgia. He works in medical device sales in Georgia and South Carolina.

A wedding is planned for next May.
