Search to resume Sunday for swimmer missing off Hunting Island

The U.S. Coast Guard and local rescue crews will continue searching today for a swimmer who went missing Saturday off the coast of Hunting Island.

Authorities are looking for 31-year-old Joseph Scott who was swimming with his friends at about 4:30 p.m. and never resurfaced after going underwater, according to a Coast Guard news release.

Lee Levesque, spokesman for the Lady's Island-St. Helena Fire District, said rescue crews planned to meet at the park at 6 a.m. to continue the search for the missing swimmer.
