The following reports were released Saturday by the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office and the Beaufort Police Department:

HILTON HEAD ISLAND

PROPERTY DAMAGE

• Sea Pines Circle: Vehicle ran onto lawn, resulting in $1,000 worth of damage to grass, mulch and plants.

• Jonesville Road: Hilton Head resident reported $500 worth of damage to a fence on his property. Police found yellow paint on the fence. Further investigation revealed scratches on a school bus with a route in the area, according to the Sheriff's Office report. Police attempts to contact Durham School Services were unsuccessful.

ASSAULT:

• Edgewater Circle: 27-year-old man arrested for a DUI and 3rd degree assault and battery after he scratched an deputy's hand hard enough to draw blood. The man also tried to bite another officer.

CAR THEFT

• Hotel Circle: A 2009 Cadillac CTS valued at $20,000 was stolen after a valet parked it at a Hilton Head hotel. With the help of OnStar, the car was later recovered at the Staples onPalmetto Bay Drive with the keys in the front seat, according to the officer's report.

BEAUFORT

THEFT

• Duke Street: Electronics worth $240 stolen.

ST. HELENA ISLAND

THEFT

• Sam Doyle Drive: Household goods worth $125 stolen.
