Photographers' work chosen for calendar

Photos taken by three members of the Camera Club of Hilton Head have been selected for the 2011 Beaufort County Rural and Critical Land Preservation Program Calendar.

The selected photos and photographers are: Donna Varner, "Peaceful Waters at Station Creek"; Jean-Marie Cote, "Birds at Widgeon Point"and "Galleries at Fort Fremont"; and Marcie Tressel, "Summer Days End at Bluffton Oyster Factory."

Proceeds from the calendar, which will be available in October, help the program acquire undeveloped properties used for parks, buffers and animal habitat areas. There were nearly 175 entries.
