Summer End Shootout starts today at Van Der Meer

The Van Der Meer Tennis Center will close out the summer tennis season with a tournament today through Saturday.

The second annual Van Der Meer Summer End Shootout will take place at the tennis center, with opening round matches slated for this afternoon.

The tournament will include adult and junior divisions. Adult divisions include NTRP levels 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and open, with the strongest field in open. Junior divisions include 10-, 12-, and 14-and-under in singles and doubles, and they will feature kids of all ability levels.

Although the tournament is a non-sanctioned event, it will still award prize money to the top finishers in men's open singles and women's open singles.
