Female soldiers sought for documentary

August 5, 2010

Attention women in the armed forces: Your stories are wanted. A film crew from the University of South Carolina is compiling a multimedia documentary, "Always Coming Home," about the female soldier's experiences both in service and in civilian life in South Carolina. The crew will be filming interviews Saturday at the Technical College of the Lowcountry's Beaufort Campus, 921 Ribaut Road, building 22. The interviewers are looking for veterans, enlisted soldiers or women considering joining the Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard or Army. To arrange an interview, contact director Cathy Brookshire at cathy_brookshire@yahoo.com or 803-727-0277. The crew is also seeking poetry from active or retired members of the armed forces. Send poetry to cmspeare@mailbox.sc.edu.
