Two S.C. School for the Deaf and the Blind students from Hardeeville are among the six newest members of Teen Lead, the Department of Education's program designed to develop high school students' character and leadership skills. The students spent two weeks at Teen Lead's camp at Clemson's Youth Learning institute in Pickens. To become a Teen LEAD member, a student must be nominated by a teacher or counselor and be willing to become a character leader in the school and community, among other criteria.
