Teens charged with shooting woman with BB gun in Beaufort

Two teenagers were charged Friday night by Beaufort police with shooting a woman on Bay Street with a BB gun.

Police Chief Matt Clancy said officers found Bryce Hill, 18, of Beaufort and a 15-year-old boy on the roof of a Bay Street business shortly after a woman reported being shot with a BB while walking down the street.

Hill was charged with second-degree assault and battery and discharging a firearm within city limits. He was being held Saturday at the Beaufort County Detention Center on $20,470 bond, according to the county's jail log.

The 15-year-old will face the same charges in Family Court, Clancy said.
