Beaufort motel robbed this morning at gunpoint

A black man dressed in black wearing a mask brandished a handgun and demanded money from the motel clerk just after 6 a.m., according to a police news release.

No injuries were reported.

The man is believed to have fled in a vehicle parked nearby, according to the release.
