Jeff Homad's score of 76 on Monday, the first round of the two-day tournament, did not count after Homad was disqualified for undisclosed reasons. Hilton Head High coach Rawn Grant is challenging the ruling and has filed a grievance with the South Carolina High School League, according to assistant coach Karen Williams.
For now though, the Seahawks officially finished fourth.
A.C. Flora won the tournament with a score of 590. St. James and South Aiken tied for second with scores of 602.
Trent Hoisington led the Seahawks with a 144, the third-best score in the tournament. Tate Hoisington checked in with a 151 and Tyler Williams had a 155. Hilton Head High also used Phillip North's score of 81 on Monday and Homad's score of 74 on Tuesday.
Bluffton finished in seventh place with a score of 628.
Wesley Long led the Bobcats with a 152, followed by Coley Davis at 153, Kenny Kovcas at 158, Matt Leiti at 165 and Shawn Fox at 171.
