The increased marketing paid by the proposed 1 percent municipal sales tax would benefit our standard of living. As a part-time employee of our best resort hotel, I look forward to more conventions being attracted here and greater employment for our area residents. As a proprietor of two businesses, I want more tourism. As a homeowner, I would gain from the reduced property taxes that the sales tax would allow. When I sell, I'll want that purchaser who's reached by today's marketing.
Having raised children here, I applaud the capital projects provided for tomorrow's children by this revenue source. As a household provider, I am thrilled that this tax would not be included in our groceries or auto gas. As proposed, the 1 percent sales tax is a win-win deal.
