The tournament is set for April 19-25 at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa in Savannah.
"We wanted to do something special for our community as a way of saying thank you for the tremendous support over the past seven years," tournament director Joe Rotellini said. "Through the help of Liberty Mutual and our other corporate partners we are pleased to offer area residents this chance to come out and enjoy Monday's events on us."
The Demaret Division is a two-day team competition for players age 70 and older.
Teams that have committed early are Bob Charles and Gary Player; Billy Casper and Fred Hawkins, Gene Littler and Don January, Lee Trevino and partner Mike Hill and the team of Dow Finsterwald and Bob Goalby.
Following the Demaret Division first round on April 19, fans can also stay for the Legends Cup Pro-Am.
The Legends of Golf features a total of three team competitions during the week -- the Demaret Division, the Raphael Division for ages 50 and older and the official Legends Division April 23-25.

Golf Channel Am Tour expands into South Carolina
The Golf Channel Am Tour is pushing its way into South Carolina this year with tournaments at Kiawah Island Resort, Grande Dunes Resort in North Myrtle Beach, Musgrove Mill in Clinton and Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort on Hilton Head Island.
The Palmetto Dunes Major Championship will get things started this weekend with a tournament at the Robert Trent Jones and Arthur Hills courses. The event is open to Golf Channel Am Tour members and will serve as an automatic qualifier to the 2010 Golf Channel Am Tour National Championships at TPC Sawgrass Sept. 21-29.
The tournament is scheduled to have a full field of 160 participants.
"Over the years, a variety of Golf Channel shows have documented the great golf South Carolina has to offer, so we're very excited to expand the Golf Channel Am Tour into the state and bring that great golf to our new South Carolina members," Golf Channel officer Gene Pizzolato said.
As one of the largest amateur golf tours in North America, the Golf Channel Am Tour is open to the public and provides the most professional tournament experience for players of all ages and abilities.
To become a member of the Golf Channel Am Tour, an annual fee of $199 is required and is valid for a 12-month period from the date of registration. Members are eligible to compete in any tour event for an additional charge. For more information, go online towww.golfchannel.com/amtour.
Moss Creek hosting Lowcountry Intercollegiate
Western Carolina University and Wofford College will host the 14-team Lowcountry Intercollegiate women's golf tournament this weekend at Moss Creek Golf Club on Hilton Head Island.
Other teams in the field are Penn State, Gardner-Webb, Elon, Cincinnati, James Madison, Augusta State, Richmond, Bucknell, Jacksonville, The Citadel, Appalachian State and Radford.
The 36-hole tournament tees off at 10 a.m. Saturday. The final round will be a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Western Carolina captured the team title last year with a score of 633. The Catamounts' Blaire Minter won the individual title.
Phillips competes in Partners Championship
Donald Phillips of Lady's Island teamed up with Darlington's Paul Davis to shoot a 70-72 -- 142 in the 18th annual South Carolina Golf Association's Partners Championship over the weekend at Woodcreek Farms in Columbia.
The two finished in fifth place in the first flight, six strokes behind winners Derrick Belue of Spartanburg and Todd Webber of Moore.
