Delta Air Lines has changed its business-oriented fairs on a trial basis for the next four months between Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport and Atlanta, according to a news release from the Savannah airport.

Round-trip fares purchased seven days in advance will be reduced from $510 to $300 and walk-up fares will be reduced from $656 to $400 round-trip, according to the release. These fares and prices might not be available on all flights but will be widely available, the release said.

The change in fares comes in response to members of the Savannah Airport Commission, including Bill Miles, president and CEO of the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, who wrote to Delta urging the airline to reduce rates at the Savannah airport because customers were driving to other nearby airports for lower fares.
