Ridgeland 64, Edisto 38: Aundray Robinson and Brent Walker each scored 11 points as Ridgeland won its final game of the regular season.
Xavier Roberts scored 10 for the Jaguars, who finish third in the Region 5-AA standings and advance to next Wednesday's Class 2-A state playoffs.
"Our goal is still intact," Ridgeland coach Jeremiah Faber said. "We wanted to make the playoffs and now we want to go deep in the playoffs. We're peaking at the right time. Hopefully, we'll continue to get better."
For Edisto, Brice Johnson scored 10.
Ridgeland (14-9, 6-4) will play the second-place team out of Region 6-AA in the first round of the state playoffs.
Bible Baptist 92, Beaufort Academy 77: Bennett Fultz scored a season-high 44 points and pulled down 10 rebounds but it wasn't enough as the Eagles lost their final game of the season in the first round of the SCISAA Region 1-AA tournament.
Beaufort Academy led 22-18 after the first quarter but saw Bible Baptist pull away with a strong start to the second period.
Jack Griffith had 14 points, Michael Bible had 11 points and nine rebounds and Leif Koppernaes finished with nine assists.
"Offensively, it was our best game of the season," Beaufort Academy coach Chip Dinkins said. "We gave up a lot of points, but for the first time all season, we looked like a complete basketball team. It was a good way to end the season if you have to end the season with a loss."
For Bible Baptist, Jerel Richards scored 40 points, Kyle Bailey had 13, Marcus Brown had 12 and Robert Brown had 12.
Beaufort Academy finishes with a record of 2-19.
Hilton Head Prep 71, Thomas Heyward 50: Dominic DiGenova scored 17 points and made four steals as Hilton Head Prep cruised past Thomas Heyward.
Patrick Andrews had 14 points and five rebounds, Matt Layman had 12 points and six assists and Alex Orford finished with eight points and 12 rebounds.
"We're always pleased when we get a win," Hilton Head Prep coach Rich Basirico said. "All of our players scored for us so we had good balance."
For Thomas Heyward, Paul Michael Osborne and R.J. Jones each scored 10 points.
Hilton Head Prep (16-7, 5-4) will host Porter-Gaud at 8 p.m. on Friday.
North Charleston 71, Hilton Head High 52: The Seahawks led 18-14 after the first quarter but were unable to keep that pace as the athletic Cougars outscored Hilton Head High 18-5 in the second period to pull away.
Denzel Myers did the most damage, finishing with 13 points. For the Seahawks, Leon Hudson had 14 points and Will McCarty finished with 10.
Hilton Head High (8-15, 4-5) will host Bluffton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
VARSITY GIRLS BASKETBALL
Beaufort Academy 43, First Baptist 29: Katherine Neal scored 14 of her game-high 18 points in the first half to lead Beaufort Academy past First Baptist in the first round of the SCISAA Region 1-AA tournament.
While Neal started the game strong, eighth grader Miranda Weslake finished strong with four straight layups to put the game away. She finished with 12 points in the win.
Charlotte Delfosse had seven, Charlotte Westcob scored four and Ashten Byrne had two. For First Baptist, Brooke Corbin scored 10.
Beaufort Academy (10-10) will host Bible Baptist at 6 p.m. today in the second round of the tournament.
North Charleston 39, Hilton Head High 27: Hilton Head High held a 20-16 lead early in the third quarter but fell apart in the second half as North Charleston clinched the Region 8-AAA title.
Back luck struck the Seahawks once again as team leader Margo Dill went down with an ankle injury late in the second quarter. The severity of the injury is unknown.
Sabrina Drammis paced Hilton Head High with 12 points and seven rebounds. Dill scored five points before the injury and Keyuntay Heyward finished with four. Jean Weisner finished with 10 rebounds.
For North Charleston, Charon Singleton had 13 points and Lela Singleton had eight.
Hilton Head High (8-15, 5-4) will host Bluffton at 6 p.m. on Friday.
Hilton Head Prep 55, Thomas Heyward 28: Four Dolphins scored in double figures, and Prep jumped out to an early lead before cruising to its 24th win of the season.
Jill Brunori had 14 points, seven steals and seven assists for Prep (24-3), which improved to 11-0 in its region. Lane Czura added 13 points and four steals, Kate Brunori had 10 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals and Becky DeRose added 10 points and six steals. The Dolphins forced Thomas Heyward into 46 turnovers.
Ashlie Layman led the Rebels with 10 points and five rebounds. Jamie Malphrus had eight points and four rebounds.
Thomas Heyward (10-9, 2-8) plays at Ashley Hall at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hilton Head Prep hosts Porter-Gaud on Friday.
