Dove Street lights up the season

Bryan Bowling, dressed as Frosty the Snowman, greets motorists passing through the 19th annual Dove Street Festival of Lights on Saturday.

“I’m the only one here who prays for a cold night,” said Bowling, whose costume can get a little warm.

The public is invited to walk, drive or take a trolley from Coligny Plaza through the light display until Jan. 1. More than 50 beachside homes participate in the annual event, which benefits The Deep Well Project.
