No one was injured in the incident that occurred at about 11:45 p.m. Sunday at 3 Hummingbird Lane, the report said. There are no suspects, Lt. Glenn Zanelotti of the Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.
A 40-year-old woman and her teenage children were getting ready for bed when they heard two gunshots and glass breaking in one of the side-room windows, Zanelotti said.
The shotgun blast caused about $300 in damage, according to the report.
A 19-year-old Bluffton man was arrested early Tuesday on a variety of drug charges, according to the Beaufort County Detention Center log.
Javon William Hamilton of 46 Guerrard Ave. faces charges that include:
• Cocaine trafficking
• Manufacturing marijuana
• Criminal domestic violence
• Providing false information to authorities
• Simple possession of crack
• Probation violation.
Hamilton remained in custody late Tuesday, according to the detention center log. Bond had not been set on several of his charges.
Hamilton was arrested by Beaufort County Sheriff's deputies on warrants through the Multi-Agency Drug Task Force, Lt. Glenn Zanelotti of the Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.
Zanelotti said he had no additional details of the arrest, which was made just before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to the detention center log.
