About 250 people feasted Sunday during Daufuskie Island's 13th annual community potluck dinner before Thanksgiving, according to the dinner's founder, John Wampler.

"It keeps getting bigger and bigger each year," Wampler said.

Money for the event comes from the island's co-op, which leases the site for Marshside Mama's restaurant and store. The proceeds from the lease are just enough to cover the party, Wampler said.
