Harper, Clemmer wed
Sarah Lauren Harper, of Charlotte, N.C., and Russell H. Clemmer IV, of Stanley, N.C., were married at 6 p.m. Aug. 1, in Atlanta.
The Rev. Mal L. McSwain officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. John David Harper Jr. and Mrs. Anne A. Harper, of Cumming, Ga.
The groom is the son of Mr. Russell “Rusty” Clemmer III and Mrs. Thomasyne “Tommie” Clemmer, of Bluffton.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Matron of honor was Mary Elizabeth Warren Stone, of Virginia Beach. Bridesmaids were: Ashley Huntington, of West Virginia and Angie Johnson, and Becca Harper, both of Atlanta, Laurie Harper, of Clearwater, Fla., Sylvia Apgar, and Elizabeth Clemmer, both of Stanley.
The groom’s father served as best man.
Groomsmen were Mark Stephen Apgar, of Stanley, Steadman Adams, of Peru, Neb., David Harper, of Clearwater, Daniel Harper, of Atlanta, Mark Canada, of Irmo and Darren Moore, of Huntersville, N.C.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Auburn University with a B.S. in elementary education. She is a fifth grade teacher in Charlotte.
The groom is a 2006 graduate of Columbia International University with a B.A. in Humanities and Bible. He is also a 2009 graduate of Gardner-Webb University with a Master of Business Administration degree. He is a physical education teacher in Huntersville, N.C.
Following a honeymoon to Naples, Fla., they will reside in Stanley.
