Wilson wanted public, Congress on same plan

A recent letter writer states, "(Rep. Joe) Wilson, his wife and his sons are covered by a comprehensive,

government-run health care system, and he does not think you and your family deserve the same kind of health care coverage."

The writer insinuates that the health care plan the Democrats are ramming through Congress is exactly like the one Congress enjoys. I wish that were true. It's so far from the truth that Wilson tried to attach an amendment to the House's health care bill. He asked that if the health care bill the Democrats are passing for the American people is so great, why doesn't the Democrat-controlled Congress scrap its current government provided health care plan and participate in the public option they're passing?

The Democrats naturally didn't accept his amendment. It's truly amazing how the radical left is willing to write lies and untruths about a popular and respected congressman.
