Since many students do not attend Bluffton High School or other area high schools for varied reasons, it is important to provide daytime GED classes to meet this need.
I have been teaching the GED program for six years for the Adult Education Department. This has been a very successful program. Many students of all ages pass the GED test and find employment or continue their education. This semester, I was told that there was no daytime GED program in Bluffton because there is no suitable room available in which to teach the GED program during the day.
In this economy, with businesses down-sizing, is it possible that a bank, corporation or even the town might have an appropriate room available for this program? I believe strongly that there is a need for this program in Bluffton and that space should be available for it.
