Tea Party Express comes to Beaufort in November

I am part of the Beaufort Tea Party Committee, a group that has organized two events to inform citizens and rally those who oppose sharp increases in government spending and control in the banking, automobile and health sectors.

We also perceive that the changes being enacted include an inherent hostility to traditional families and churches that believe in objective truth. We also see indifference toward the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death.

We believe that these efforts of Congress and the executive branch are counter to Constitutional principles and will eventually be a danger to our liberty and to our prosperity. We promote an informed and energized citizenry as the best hope for avoiding disaster.

At 3:30 p.m. Nov. 10, the Tea Party Express will hold a rally at the Waterfront Park in Beaufort.Although we on the Beaufort Tea Party Committee have no affiliation with this effort, we are helping inform the community about the rally.
