Wooten, Rice married
Lee Ann Wooten and Hugh Thompson “H.T.” Rice III were married Oct. 24, 2009, in an outdoor ceremony at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach. The reception was also held at the country club.
The bride is the daughter of the Rev. Dr. and Mrs. James Grant Wooten of Beaufort. The groom is the son of Mrs. and Mrs. Hugh Thompson Rice Jr. of Myrtle Beach.
A graduate of Furman University, the bride is also a 2009 graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law. She is employed in the law offices of John M. Leiter, PA of Myrtle Beach. The groom is a graduate of both Emory University and the University of South Carolina School of Law. He has served as a law clerk for the South Carolina Senate Judiciary Committee.
Dawn Collette Williams, of Greenville, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids from Greenville include Monica Handa, and Mrs. Ashley Rosser Wooten, sister-in-law of the bride. Other bridesmaids were Molly Preston Bell of Billings, Mont., Logan Renee Furr, cousin of the groom from Oviedo, Fla., Anna Elizabeth Scott, Esq. and Mollie Willard both of Myrtle Beach. Lucille Mae Watson of Myrtle Beach was the flower girl.
Best man was Nicholas Kicidis Christman of Myrtle Beach. Groomsmen were Jacob Calhoun Rice, brother of the groom, of Myrtle Beach, and Michael Robert Rusenko, of Atlanta, Forest Jackson Spradlin and Lowell Jordan Timms and Bratton Martin, both of Myrtle Beach and James Grant Wooten, II, brother of the bride, of Greenville. Honorary groomsman was James Lucas Rice, brother of the groom. Ring bearers, cousins of the groom from Charleston, were Charles Clay Rice and Conner Carew Rice. Ushers were Amer Hussain Ahmad, Esq., of Greenville, Ryan Allen Moss, Esq., of Atlanta, and cousins of the groom, Leroy Eschol Calhoun IV and Kenniston Andrew Pena, both of Hanahan, and Marshall Calhoun Furr, of Oviedo.
Officiating clergy were the Rev. Anne Vestal England of Beaufort, and the Right Rev. Charles Farmer Duvall Jr., of Columbia. Lay reader was Frank Langston Eppes, Esq., of Greenville.
An after-wedding trip to Iceland is planned and the couple will live in Myrtle Beach.
