Men arrested in Burton drug bust

A 26-year-old Burton man and a 24-year-old Seabrook man were arrested Wednesday on felony drug charges.

Members of the Beaufort-Jasper Multi-Agency Drug Task Force raided a home on Roseida Road in Burton after investigators discovered drugs were being distributed out of the home, according to a release from the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

Officers seized 9.2 grams of cocaine, four grams of crack cocaine, less than an ounce of marijuana and three handguns.

Calvin Leon Hayes, 26, of Burton and Ephraim Moultrie, 24, of Seabrook were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute.

Moultrie and Hayes were each being held Thursday at the Beaufort County Detention Center on more than $50,000 bail.
