Area courses offer free golf for military

Active-duty and retired military personnel can play a free round of golf at several local courses Nov. 9-13.

The third annual Military Veterans Golf Week will offer complimentary greens fees -- a $20 cart fee still applies -- at Hampton Hall Golf Club in Bluffton, Dolphin Head Golf Club on Hilton Head Island and other area courses.

To reserve a tee time, call 843-815-8270 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. through Sunday. ID is required. Space is limited; a total of 300 rounds will be provided.

The golf week program is sponsored by Hampton Hall and Dolphin Head golf clubs, as well as Toll Brothers and other local courses.
