Hohenwarter, Fackrell married
Emily Elizabeth Hohenwarter, of Beaufort and Jared Michael Fackrell, of Colorado Springs, Colo., were married at 4 p.m. Oct. 17, 2009, in St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Lady’s Island in Beaufort.
Father Timothy Tebalt officiated in the ceremony.
Following the Catholic service, Rabbi Ronald Gerson officiated a Jewish ceremony at the British Open Pub, the site of the reception.
The bride is a daughter of Drs. Susan and Mark Hohenwarter, of Beaufort.
The groom is a son of Michael and Jackie Fackrell, of Colorado Springs.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Mark Hohenwarter.
Maid of honor was Marian Hohenwarter, of Beaufort, sister of the bride.
Best man was Shane Fackrell, of San Francisco, Calif., brother of the groom.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Beaufort High School. She received her Bachelor of Science in anthropology from Tulane University and her Master of Arts in English in 2008. She is a writer.
The groom received his Bachelor of Science in cell and molecular biology from Tulane. He is an officer in the U.S. Navy. He recently completed a year of study at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center at the Presidio of Monterey, Calif.
The couple will reside in Virginia Beach, Va.
